Scott Hostetler recently returned to First United Bank & Trust as a mortgage loan originator.

He will be providing service to the consumers in Washington and Frederick counties.

Hostetler comes back to First United with 18 years of banking experience. He has held the positions of branch manager, equipment leasing representative, mortgage originator, city executive and commercial lender. He is a graduate of Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, with a concentration in finance and a minor in accounting.

He lives in Maryland with his wife, Rebecca. They have three children, Cooper, Evan and Kinsay. He is also a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — Scott Palmer and Todd Crawford, with Jack Gaughen Realtor ERA, were recognized as agents of the month for April in the Greencastle office.

The award is given based on the number of listings taken, sales made and closed sales, as well as attendance at Realtor functions and continuing-education classes completed.

Palmer was recognized for five years or more in the business.

Crawford was recognized for five years or less in the business.

Palmer has been selling real estate for 26 years and is an associate broker. He lives in Greencastle with his wife, Dawn, and daughter.

Crawford has more than 20 years of business and sales experience. He is licensed to sell all types of real estate in Pennsylvania.

Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Hospital

Dr. Melchus Davis Jr. recently joined Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Hospital in Hagerstown.

He has 17 years of experience in the field of veterinary medicine as a small- animal practitioner, working predominantly with canines and felines.

Davis is a native of Washington, D.C., and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. His key interests are preventive medical care, ultrasound and dentistry.

The Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership

WATERFORD, Va. —At its sixth annual conference, held May 23 in Frederick, Md., The Journey Through Hallowed Ground Partnership presented Tom Frezza with its 2012 Volunteer of the Year Award.

Frezza, a staff member at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, played an integral role in the partnership’s “Of the Student, By the Student, For the Student” project in Manassas, Va., as well as at Antietam National Battlefield and Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park in Maryland.

In addition to bringing his knowledge of the 5th New York Zouve’s regiment, he also shared uniforms from the Civil War fort the students to see and for filmmakers to use.

Frezza serves as superintendent of the Pry House Field Hospital Museum in Sharpsburg. As a volunteer, he attended kickoffs, immersion days and filming days for stints in each of the three programs.

F&M Trust

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Joshua S. “Josh” Davis has been promoted to assistant technology services officer at F&M Trust.

Prior to joining F&M Trust in 2010 as a technology service analyst, Davis was an instructor at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center. At F&M Trust, his duties include technology support, network administration and management reporting.

Davis is a graduate of Eastern University with a bachelor’s degree in management of information systems. He serves on the Occupational Activity Committee for Technology Systems at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.

Davis lives in the Chambersburg area with his wife and daughter.

Charles L. Strausbaugh, CPA

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Marcia Warren has joined the staff of Charles L. Strausbaugh, CPA, PC’s Waynesboro location.

Warren is attending Wilson College to obtain her bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has experience in all areas of accounting, including nonprofits.

She previously worked at an accounting firm in Chambersburg, Pa., and is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Charles L. Strausbaugh, CPA, PC, is an accounting firm with offices in Waynesboro and Greencastle, Pa., that provides accounting, auditing, small-business consulting and income tax preparation services.
