MAUGANSVILLE — The Maugansville Little League Senior All-Stars rolled to a 16-6 victory over Conococheague on Saturday evening in the losers’ bracket final of the Maryland District 1 Senior League Tournament.

Maugansville will travel to Valley on Monday at 5:30 p.m. for the championship round. Valley — which beat Maugansville 14-4 in five innings in the winners’ bracket final — can win the title with a victory Monday, but a Maugansville win would force a final game Thursday.

Several players had big offensive games for Maugansville on Saturday. Tyler Shindle homered and finished with three hits. Rich Montgomery and Brock Doyle also had three hits each. Corey Staubs homered and finished with two hits, and John Shipley also had two hits.

Mike Sullivan pitched five innings to earn the win for Maugansville.

Austin Stine had three hits, Josh Wilson had two hits and Blake Harne and Trey French each homered for Conococheague.
