FUNKSTOWN — Tyler Byers, Zach Lucas and Jake Bachtell each had two hits and Charles Cvijanovich and Aaron Stoner each hit a home run for Funkstown (9-3, 4-1) in its Western Maryland District victory over Mount Airy on Thursday.

Stonebreaker scores hole-in-one

Ronald Stonebreaker, 45, of Halfway, recently scored his first career hole-in-one, using a 7-iron to ace the 175-yard seventh hole at Black Rock Golf Course.

His shot was witnessed by Mark Gasper, Ron Ritchie and Ray Montini.

Rippers Softball Camp

The second Rippers FastPitch Camp will be held July 12-13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kemps Mill Softball Complex in Williamsport. Cost is $50 per athlete, covering both days.
