Hours for Saturday's Faire off the Square event shortened due to heat advisory

June 29, 2012

HAGERSTOWN — Due to the heat advisory forecasted by the National Weather Service for Saturday, the Faire Off the Square event in downtown Hagerstown will be shortened by two hours, city Communications Manager Erin Wolfe said in a news release.

Vendors will be in the Elizabeth Hager Center Lot along North Potomac Street from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, Wolfe said.

Faire Off the Square, which serves as a complement to the City Farmers Market, is held the last Saturday of each month through October.

This weekend's proceeds will benefit Girls Inc., Wolfe said.

The City Farmers Market, at 25 W. Church St., will be open during its normal business hours from 5 a.m. until noon Saturday, Wolfe said.
