U.S. ArmyCapt. Chris Robertson of Keedysville was deployed to Afghanistan last month.
This is the second major deployment for Robertson, who is married to Erica (Stewart) Robertson, a native of Boonsboro.
Capt. Robertson left for a 15-month deployment to Iraq with the 101st Airborne the first week after they were married in 2007.
The couple have a daughter, Evelyn Kay.
