Dana Allan Draper Sr., 51, of Sharpsburg, Md., passed away Friday, June 22, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1960, in Martinsburg, W.Va., to Melvin Leroy and Abbie Jean Kline Draper.

He was a 1978 graduate of Boonsboro High School, Boonsboro, Md.

He was employed for many years by his mother and father’s side with Draper’s Refuse Service, K&D/Draper’s Excavating, A&M Mountain View Farms and Battleview Market. He was the owner and operator of Route 65 Auction.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Sharpsburg.

He enjoyed hunting and attending auctions, and spending time with his family.

Survivors, besides his parents, include his wife, Amy Ann Hart Draper of Sharpsburg; son, Dustin R. Stipes and girlfriend, JoEnna, of Hagerstown, Md.; son, Dana A. Draper Jr. and girlfriend, Stephanie, of Fairplay, Md.; son, Benjamin O. Draper, at home; stepson, Ryan S. Frey and his wife, Lani, of Hagerstown; stepson, Kenneth J. Frey and his girlfriend, Jess, of Boonsboro; sister, Melody L. Canfield and her husband, Rick, of Sharpsburg; sister, Danielle E.M. Draper and her fiancé, Rick Nocar, of Sharpsburg; grandson, Brayden A. Draper of Fairplay; nieces, Hannah, Erin and Sierra; great-nephew, Peyton; and numerous aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, Md., on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Tuesday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ernest E. Witmer officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
