Yard sale to benefit Washington County Community Action Council

The annual Improved Order of Red Men Tribe 84 yard and craft sale will be Saturday, July 7, from 6 a.m. to noon at 16129 Lappans Road in Williamsport.

Proceeds from the event will go to Washington County Community Action Council.

Tables will be available to rent for $15 per table under the pavilion.

Participants can bring their own tables and set up outside the pavilion for a cost of $10 per table. Crafters can set up tents outside the pavilion for $25. Setup begins at 5 a.m.

There will be a concession stand for breakfast and lunch, and a bake sale table. 

The Washington County Antique Tractor Club will be on hand from 9 to 11 a.m. to give barrel rides to children and adults. The cost is a donation to benefit CAC.

Steak feed

Tri-State Ravens Nest 12 will hold a steak feed Saturday, July 14, from  5 to 7 p.m. at the Alsatia Club, 141 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown.

Tickets cost $15 per person or $25 per couple.

The menu includes steak, potato, coleslaw and drink. There will be a cash bar (beer and wine) and desserts available for purchase. Tip jars will be for sale.

Proceeds will benefit Ravens Nest 12’s scholarship fund.

Hagerstown Lions Club

Tuesday — The club will hold installation of officers and directors for fiscal year 2012-13. Family members are invited to attend.

Vacation Bible school

St. John’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual vacation Bible school from July 15 to 19  in the church education building. The theme is “Sky — All Things Are Possible With God!”

The school will begin with supper at 5:30 p.m., followed by classes from 6 to 8 p.m. It will be a week of fun-filled activities, including a biblical storyteller, imagination station, games and crafts.

Classes are targeted for those ages 3 to adult.

The church is at 101 S. Prospect St., Hagerstown.
