Falling Waters, W.Va., man arrested on charges of passing counterfeit currency

A Falling Waters, W.Va., man was arrested Friday on charges of possession and passing counterfeit currency, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Morgan Early, 20, of 20 Effie Lane was taken into custody by sheriff’s deputies after they executed a search warrant at his residence, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

During the search, investigators found numerous copies of counterfeit currency matching those passed at local businesses, the sheriff’s office said.

Early was already out on bond for numerous charges of credit-card fraud and several burglaries in the area, the sheriff’s office said.

Investigators are coordinating with surrounding police agencies that have responded to similar complaints, and additional charges may be filed, the sheriff’s office said.
