GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The Greencastle-Antrim School Board Thursday night approved Jolinda C. Wilson as the new business manager for the school district.

The nine-member board unanimously approved the hiring of Wilson, whose annual salary will be $87,500.

Her starting date has yet to be determined, but district Superintendent C. Gregory Hoover said Thursday he hopes Wilson will begin her duties by Aug. 1.

Wilson replaces Dick Lipella, who retired in May after seven years as business manager, Hoover said.

Wilson has been business manager for the Central Fulton School District since 2004.

She worked at JLG Industries from 2000 to 2004, and in public accounting for Boyer and Ritter in Chambersburg, Pa., from 1997 to 2000.

Hoover said 14 people applied for the business manager’s position, and the school board interviewed the top two candidates.

“It was her years of experience as business manager at Central Fulton and other attributes that we thought made her the best fit for the district at this time,” Hoover said.

Wilson received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg (Pa.) University, and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Md.
