Zane Allen Cook, 27, of Waynesboro, Pa., went to heaven Sunday, June 17, 2012, after a long battle with gastric cancer.
Born Dec. 4, 1984, in Chambersburg, Pa., Zane was the beloved son of John A. and Darlene S. Varner Cook of Waynesboro.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved sister, Tabitha N. Ulrich and her husband, Glenn; his beloved brother, Derek W. Cook; and two nephews, Rylee C. and Jacob T. Ulrich, all of Waynesboro; paternal grandparents, John W. and Marlene Cook of Chambersburg; and numerous uncles and aunts.
Zane was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles M. Varner Sr. and Linda A. Varner.
He was employed by theManitowoc Co.in Shady Grove, Pa., with a wonderful group of co-workers who supported him through his illness.
Zane attended Chambersburg and Waynesboro schools, graduating from Waynesboro Area Senior High School in 2003.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working on his cars, riding his motorcycle and fishing.
