Mary Frances Putnam, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Silver Spring, Md., passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at her home.
Born April 26, 1928, in Dumfries, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lynton Manuel and Lucile Thomas Muse Florence.
She was a graduate of Eastern High School and attended Benjamin Franklin University, both inWashington, D.C.
She was the bakery manager for Giant Foods in Montgomery County for more than 30 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Inter-Faith Chapel on Leisure World Boulevard in Silver Spring. She also belonged to the Leisure World Art Guild in Silver Spring.
She is survived by a son, Thomas M. Putnam and his wife, Sharon; a son, William D. Putnam and his wife, Janet; a granddaughter, Mary E. Troast; a granddaughter, Valerie A. Heavey; a great-granddaughter, Mary Frances Troast, all of Hagerstown; and a brother, Harrison Lee Florence of Montgomery, Texas.
