Youth of the New Joy Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Church gave women of the Hagerstown community red roses for Mother’s Day.
Women were also offered a free subscription to Message, a magazine devoted to nurturing families. As in preceding years when members gave out women’s devotionals, some mothers said the gifts were the only ones they received. This was just one of the ongoing connections that church youth make with mothers beyond their own families.
The gift-giving was developed under the leadership of Women’s Ministries Leader Denise Johnson along with Adventist Youth Department Leader Debra Banks.
A dinner for the mothers was prepared by the men of the church.
