The L. Beard Miller Memorial Swimming Pool in Byron Memorial Park is open each day from noon to 6 p.m., unless otherwise posted. The individual cost per visit is $3 for those ages 4 to 12 and those 60 and older; and $4 for those ages 13 to 59. Those younger than 4 will be admitted free.
A family of five seasonal membership costs $200; each additional member of the family costs $30.

Flag retirement and recognition ceremony
Tribe 84 Order of Red Men in Williamsport will hold its annual flag retirement and recognition ceremony Saturday.
The event starts at noon. The community is invited.
Organ recital planned for Father’s Day
Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St. in Williamsport, will celebrate Father’s Day Sunday with an organ recital in the sanctuary, beginning at 4 p.m.
The recital features musical director, David Loy, as well as past musical directors, including Vicky Smith Delawter, Kathy Barr, Joel Gorgodian and Tom Perry.
There will be a reception following. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
Zion vacation Bible school
Vacation Bible school will be held for preschool- through high-school-aged youth at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 W. Potomac St., from Monday, June 25, to Friday, June 29.
Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. each night; the program is from 6 to 8 p.m. The program will include Bible stories, recreation, crafts and snacks. A carnival will be held after the closing program on Friday night.
The program is co-sponsored by Williamsport United Methodist Church. All youth are welcome.

Bus ministry to begin
Williamsport United Methodist Church, 25 E. Church St., has announced that starting on Sunday, July 1, a bus will pick up children and adults who need transportation to church on Sundays.

Medairy Masonic Lodge held its annual strawberry night spring celebration for family, friends, and neighbors at the park pavilion in Williamsport. Cash drawing winners from the annual donation program included Robert Hafer, Matt Noll and Brian Gouff.
Class of 1957 plans reunion
The Williamsport High School Class of 1957 will hold its 55th reunion Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Elks Lodge from 6 to 11 p.m.
It costs $45 per couple or $25 for singles.
All class graduates and anyone who attended school with the class are encouraged to attend.
