Hearing on proposed school closings postponed

June 12, 2012

HAGERSTOWN — A public hearing to discuss the proposed closing of Winter Street and Conococheague elementary schools in Hagerstown has been postponed a month, county school officials said.

The hearing was originally scheduled for June 19, but has been rescheduled so it won’t be held the same day the report about the proposed school closings is issued, Washington County Public Schools spokesman Richard Wright said.

The hearing is now scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on July 17 at the school system’s Central Office off Commonwealth Avenue in Hagerstown.
