Alumni gathering
The South Hagerstown High School Rebel Alumni Association will sponsor an informal gathering Friday at Cancun Cantina, 901 Dual Highway in Hagerstown.
Members and staff from all classes are welcome. Admission is free. There will be a cash bar and a hors d’oeurvres buffet.

Group to meet
Neighborhoods 1st Locust Point will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at 53 E. Baltimore St. in the Congregation B’Nai Abraham meeting room.
City Engineer Rodney Tissue will talk about the final decision for the Mill Street extension proposal.
He will also talk about beginning Phase I of construction of the new Memorial Park at Memorial Boulevard and South Potomac Street.
Block party planned
The fourth annual Locust Point Block Party will be Saturday, June 23, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Ray Street.
The community is invited to enjoy a day with their neighbors, and learn about the Neighborhoods 1st Program and available city services.
There will be presentations by the Hagerstown Police Department canine and bike units and by Hagerstown Fire Department on fire prevention and safety.
Free hamburgers, hot dogs and drinks will be provided by the city.
Residents are encouraged to sign up at the Locust Point Market and bring a covered dish to share at the block party.
Entertainment will be provided by Sisko System DJ. There will be free chalk and bubbles for the children.
There will be door prizes of gift cards to use at local businesses.

Tuesday — Jeff Stouffer, principal of Washington County Technical High School, will present an overview of the school and its 17 programs.
Class of 1972
The South Hagerstown High Class of 1972 will hold its class reunion Saturday, June 30, at 6 p.m. at the Hagerstown Elks Lodge.
A get-together will be held Friday, June 29, at 7 p.m. at Funkstown Tavern.
