Fishing rodeo deadline set for June 16

CASCADE — One Mountain Foundation will host the Children's Fishing Rodeo from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 1, as part of Mountaintop Heritage Days.

The event is open to ages 4 to 12, at Lake Royer on Fort Ritchie, off Castle Drive, Cascade. Check-in starts at 8 a.m.  A parent or guardian must stay with the child during the rodeo.

Prizes will be awarded for the top five biggest and heaviest fish in each of the age divisions.

 In addition to these prizes, anyone catching a tag fish that is left over from the Bass Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 12, will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card from Sportsman Liquidation.

 Advanced registration will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Fort Ritchie Community Center. The registration fee is $5.

Only a total of 150 children will be allowed to enter the rodeo.
