4-year-old taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center after falling into campfire

A 4-year-old girl with third-degree burns was taken Saturday night to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore after she fell into a campfire, according to Washington County Emergency Services.

The incident in the 300 block of Hollymead Terrace was reported at 9:51 p.m. Saturday, a 911 supervisor said. Hollymead Terrace is near Potomac Heights Elementary School in the area of Hagerstown’s North End.

The girl had burns to her arms and abdomen, and had singed hair, the 911 supervisor said.
