Vehicles spray-painted in Peters Township

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.  — Pennsylvania State Police said someone spray-painted vehicles earlier this week in Peters Township, Pa.

The incident was reported at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday at a home at 3689 Mercersburg Road, according to a state police news release.

Troopers said vulgarities were painted with black spray paint on two vehicles that were parked outside the residence.

Hagerstown Police Department responds to incidents

The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents, according to spokeswoman Barbara Pickett:

May 17

  • Two burglaries were reported at apartments in the 40 block of East Franklin Street.
  • An unattended death of a 24-year-old was reported on Little Elliott Drive. A medical examiner determined the death was due to a heart attack, according to Detective Sgt. Jim Hurd.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported on East Antietam Street.

May 16

  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 400 block of Salem Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 900 block of West Washington Street.
  • A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 100 block of Summit Avenue. It was recovered as part of an accident.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 100 block of McComas Street.

  • An assault was reported at North Hagerstown High School.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 500 block of Lynnehaven Drive.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 500 block of West Franklin Street.

  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the first block of Manor Drive.
  • An animal bite was reported on East Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 100 block of Summit Avenue.
  • A controlled dangerous substance violation was reported in the 30 block of West Bethel Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 400 block of West Franklin Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 100 block of North Cannon Avenue. A fraud was reported in the 800 block of View Street.

May 13

  • A burglary was reported in the 600 block of Linganore Avenue.
  • A disorderly conduct incident was reported at Ava’s Lounge at 28 S. Potomac St. An arrest was made.
  • A GPS unit and $500 were stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Mill Street.
  • Child neglect was reported in the 400 block of Liberty Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 30 block of Summer Street.
  • A burglary was reported in the 300 block of South Cleveland Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 1100 block of Kenly Avenue.

May 12

  • A burglary was reported at Roxy Liquors on East Wilson Boulevard. Glass was broken with a brick in the incident.
  • A domestic violence referral was made in the 1100 block of Professional Court.
  • A burglary involving the theft of tools was reported in the 200 block of South Potomac Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 900 block of Monet Drive.

May 11

  • A breaking and entering incident was reported in the 200 block of North Cleveland Avenue.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1100 block of Kenly Avenue.
  • A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 900 block of Pope Avenue.
  • A breaking and entering was reported in the 200 block of Locust Street. At least two people were arrested.
  • Controlled dangerous substance violations were reported in the 200 block of North Potomac Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the first block of Manor Drive.

May 10

  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 300 block of North Locust Street. An arrest was made.
  • A violation of a protective order was reported in the 1000 block of Concord Street. An arrest was made.
  • A disorderly incident was reported at South Hagerstown High School.
  • A domestic violence referral was reported in the 1000 block of Pope Avenue.
  • A domestic violence referral was made in the 300 block of West Side Avenue.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 100 block of West Franklin Street. An arrest was made.
  • A breaking and entering was attempted twice on Elizabeth Street.

May 9

  • Vandalism to a scooter was reported at Antietam Academy.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 800 block of Maryland Avenue. An arrest was made.
  • An unattended death of a 62-year-old man was reported in the 100 block of Fairground Avenue. The death was due to medical problems, according to  Detective Sgt. Jim Hurd.

May 8

  • Possible child neglect was reported in the 100 block of S. Prospect Street.
  • An assault was reported at Fountaindale  Elementary School. 
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 800 block of Lanvale Street. A juvenile was arrested.
  • A domestic violence referral was made in the 300 block of Jonathan Street.
  • A domestic violence incident was reported in the 400 block of Guilford Avenue. An arrest was made.
