1. Fun at the carnival

Downsville Ruritan Carnival runs Monday, June 11, through Saturday, June 16. Food, bingo, amusements. Continues through Saturday, June 16. Byron Memorial Park, U.S. 11, Williamsport. Advance tickets cost $10 and are available through today, at Williamsport Town Hall (8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday), G.A. Miller Lumber Co. and Downsville General Store. $16 at the gate.



2. Celebration of the arts

Goose Route Arts Collaborative Performance Cafe will be 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Shepherdstown Opera House, 131 W. German St., Shepherdstown, W.Va. Featured are Adam Booth, storytelling; Cam Millar Ensemble, original music; Monica Larson, new media; Kitty Clark, pictured, contemporary dance; and Katherine Ferrier and Pamela Vail, visiting improvisational dance artists. 8 p.m. $10; $8 for students. 5. Showing off their rides

Barefoot Bernies benefit cruise-in will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Barefoot Bernies, Cancun Cantina West, 901 Dual Highway, Hagerstown. Food, music, cars and trucks.
