The Washington County Board of Commissioners of will hold two public hearings in June.
The first will be for considering the adoption/enactment of a number of construction and building codes and related items, the county said in a news release.
That hearing will be Tuesday, June 5 at 11:30 a.m. in the commissioners’ meeting room, room 227, at 100 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown.
Public comments will be accepted on the 2012 Maryland Building Performance Standards, the proposed adoption/enactment of the International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code and the International Fuel Gas Code, among others.

Copies of the proposed ordinances and resolution are available for review at the Washington County Division of Plan Review & Permitting, 80 W. Baltimore St., from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or online at www.washco-md.net.
In addition, the county commissioners will hold a public hearing Tuesday, June 19, to consider a map amendment to the zoning ordinance that would change 3.28 acres owned by Cornerstone Community Church of Hagerstown at 20519 Beaver Creek Road from rural business existing to rural village.
That hearing will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Washington County Administration Building, 100 W. Washington St., room 227, as part of the commissioners’ regular weekly meeting.
