Albert Donus, 86, of Jamestown, N.Y., and Hagerstown, Md., died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa., after a brief illness.
A native of Paterson, N.J., he was born July 12, 1925, the son of the late Albert and Minnie Breen Donus.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from New York University and became a certified public accountant.
An extremely hard worker, he was employed by Fairchild Aircraft as an auditor. He later became dean of instruction at Hagerstown Business College, while at the same time owning and operating Betty Winn Inc.
Surviving is a daughter, Gail Donus of Jamestown and Hagerstown; a sister-in-law, Lucille Crossley of Hagerstown; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gladys Crossley, whom he married June 8, 1946, and who died Nov. 13, 2007; and a sister, Marion Stroher.
No funeral service or visitation will be observed.
