Four teens rescued from river

HARPER¿S FERRY, W.Va. — Four teenagers were rescued Wednesday night from a rock in the area where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet, according to a Washington County 911 dispatcher.

The teenagers were apparently tube riding in the water when they became stranded, the dispatcher said.

The teenagers were being checked out by rescue crews, who were wrapping up their work at the scene at about 9:40 p.m., the dispatcher said.
