Women in business seminar planned at HCC on Friday, June 8

Hagerstown Community College is partnering with PNC Bank and the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce to offer a free, one-day seminar titled “Women in Business: Making Time to Focus on What’s Important,” on Friday, June 8, from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m., in the Career Programs Building at HCC.

Registration begins at 8:15 a.m., followed by a continental breakfast.

Keynote speaker will be Ana Harvey, director of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Women’s Business Ownership, who will speak on the topic of “The Three C’s Vital for Women Entrepreneurs: Counseling, Capital and Contracts.”

Following the keynote speech, PNC University Training Manager Kathleen Tomasello will speak about emotional intelligence. The seminar will end with a discussion panel moderated by Nicole Quiroga, general manager, Telemundo.

Sponsored by PNC Bank, the event is free and open to the public.
