Northrup Grumman announces awards

BALTIMORE — Charles Tark of North Hagerstown High School will receive a $10,000 merit-based scholarship from Northrop Grumman Corp.

He is one of the 24 winners of Northrop Grumman’s 10th annual Engineering Scholars program, which will provide a total of $240,000 in college scholarships this fall to high school seniors across Maryland interested in studying engineering, computer science, physics or math.

Students from 23 Maryland counties and the city of Baltimore will receive $10,000, payable in $2,500 installments over four years.

The scholarships will be presented during an awards reception and dinner hosted by Northrop Grumman at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Marshall Airport on June 8.
