Elizabeth Mary Nigh, 98, of 154 Artizan St. in Williamsport, Md., passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, at Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born Tuesday, June 24, 1913, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late John Garfield Henry and the late Ada Florence (McElroy) Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Keller Nigh Jr., in 1966.
She was a 1932 graduate of Williamsport High School.
She was a former employee of Bikle’s Shoe Store.
She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, now Cornerstone Community Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruby N. Schleigh and husband, Frank, of Hagerstown, Md.; daughter-in-law, Nancy A. (Nigh) Weber of Hagerstown; sister-in-law, Betty Henry of Williamsport; grandchildren, Kurt Nigh and wife, Cathy, Krista Shipley and husband, John, Brad Nigh and wife, Sherie, Kathy Kroboth and husband, Joe, and Doug Nigh and wife, Keleigh; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, W. Keller Nigh III; brother, Scott Garfield Henry; and one granddaughter, Kelly Whittington.
Services will be Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with Pastor Larry Weber officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
