2. Painting the blues with acrylic

Western Maryland Blues Fest artist Kate Fortin's work will be on display at Washington County Arts Council, 14 W. Washington St., downtown Hagerstown. Reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 31. 3. Glass of wine and music

4. Bark in the Park

Bark in the Park will be Saturday, June 2, at Jefferson Memorial Park, 400 Forrest Ave., Charles Town, W.Va. Registration at 9:30 a.m., blessing of the animals at 10 a.m., followed by pledge walk. Activities for dogs, food, vendors, crafts, raffles, contests, games, face painting, K9 demonstrations and more. Registration $10. Proceeds benefit Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County.
