Morning MoJo report - May 24

Here is the Morning Mojo Report for Thursday, May 24:

* As of 7 a.m., traffic was sluggish on I-270 southbound and on I-495 in westbound, but was running fine on all the other interstates throughout the area.

* There were multiple delays on the MARC Train, according to the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) website, mta.maryland.gov. Brunswick Line Train 872, the 5:38 a.m. Brunswick Departure, is canceled for the morning due to crew issues. Passengers may use Train 874, the 6:02 a.m. Brunswick Departure. Also, Brunswick Line Trains 890, 892, and 894 departing Frederick at 5:12 a.m., 6:05 a.m., and 7:10 a.m. respectively are all operating up to 30 minutes late due to signal issues.

* The Light Rail, Commuter Buses, local bus services, the Metro Subway system, and the Mobility service, were all running on time and operating on their regular schedules, according to the MTA website.

* The weather today is expected to be cloudy with a high near 78 degrees, scattered showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after noon, areas of fog before 8 a.m., winds between 5 and 13 miles per hour, and a 60 percent chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight, it's expected to be mostly cloudy with a low around 63 degrees, a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., a slight chance of showers from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., winds between 7  and 11 mph, and a 40 percent chance of precipitation. 

* The Longmeadow Road-Marsh Pike intersection is still undergoing an improvement project. Workers are assisting traffic when needed at the intersection.

* Only one lane of Md. 550 in Thurmont, Md., is open between Eylers Valley Flint Road and Kelbaugh Road due to a mudslide that occurred last April. However, it could reopen by early July.
