  • A worn railroad tie at a railroad crossing on East Oak Ridge Drive just outside Hagerstown is causing vehicles to bounce as they cross.

The problem: A railroad crossing on East Oak Ridge Drive just outside Hagerstown. Vehicles heading toward Md. 65 bounce as they cross one particularly worn railroad tie.

Who could fix it: CSX

What they say: “CSX will contact the city and arrange a mutually convenient time when the ties can be replaced,” CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan wrote in an email after seeing photos The Herald-Mail took of the crossing.
