Donations sought for annual bus trip

Donations are sought for the annual For Our Kid’s Sake bus trip to an area amusement park.

This summer, the trip will be to Dorney Park in Allentown, Pa., on Saturday, Aug. 11.

If you would like to help, call Clara Broadus or Dot Bell at 30l-739-2557 or deposits can be made directly to The Columbia Bank-Hagerstown Trust Division, account name For Our Kid’s Sake, account No. 141518.

The community’s support will help more than 150 local children and teenagers enjoy a day at the park.

Art on display

An opening reception is planned Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Just Lookin’ gallery, 40 Summit Ave. in Hagerstown. The exhibit is titled “Twenty Black Artists Look at the World in Black and White.”

Breakfast planned

Second Christian Church, 65 W. North Ave., will host breakfast Saturday from 7  to 11 a.m.


The menu includes sausage, scramble eggs, home fries, biscuit and orange juice or coffee.

Blossom School

The Blossom School of Etiquette invites the community to a mother-daughter celebration and luncheon

Saturday, May 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hagerstown Presbyterian Church, 20 S. Prospect St.

Tickets cost $15 per pair (any combination of mom, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin).

There will be door prizes, a guest speaker and entertainment.
