James Lewis Ridenour, 79, of Hagerstown, Md., died at home Thursday, May 10, 2012, after a long illness.
He was born Feb. 25, 1933, in Smithsburg, Md., to the late Columbus V. Ridenour and Harriett Gunn Ridenour.
He was employed as a craftsman of high-end cabinetry at Statton Furniture Co. for 40 years.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and loved sharing Bible education.
He enjoyed traveling and made new friends wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Ridenour; his son and daughter-in-law, J. David and Melody Ridenour, Frederick, Md.; his brothers, Richard H. Ridenour, Roger L. Ridenour and Carl E. Ridenour, all of Hagerstown.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles V. Ridenour.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 20, at 3:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 30 Nottingham Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
