Principal's Citizenship Award given to students

On May 10 at North Hagerstown High School, the annual Principal’s Citizenship Awards were given to fifth-graders chosen by their teachers for their outstanding performance in the classroom and in school activities.

The students also showed pride and respect toward students and adults, and also for the school and its rules.

The students receiving the award from Salem Avenue Elementary School were Sydney Moser, Christian Mapp-Ellerbusch, Taliah Hodges, Mia DeAgrella and Brian Brown. Award winners from Winter Street Elementary are Aaron Vonfeldt and Taylor Rudisill.

Wine and cheese tasting

The community is invited to an evening of wine and cheese tasting at the Women’s Club Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

Tickets cost $5 which includes wine tasting from Knob Hall Winery of Clear Spring and cheese sampling from Palmyra Cheese LLC of Hagerstown.

There will also be a silent auction of merchandise, and gift baskets and appetizers made by club members.
