Speedway to hold student night May 26

Hagerstown Speedway will honor all area students on Saturday, May 26. 

All students will be admitted free to the speedway with proper identification.

Evolution Rock School, Western Maryland’s premier performance based music school, will perform from 5:45 to 7 p.m.

The show will feature its house band, as well as one of its student bands.

The students in the two bands range in age from 10 to 15, and will perform songs from the past five decades of rock.

Evolution Rock School offers private and group lessons, performance programs, live student performances, clinics, and summer camps for the beginner to the advanced player. It is at 435 E. Baltimore St. in Hagerstown, next to Municipal Stadium.

A  full evening of racing will be presented, including the Bill Bowman Special, a 31-lap race for the Late Model Sportsman divison, as well as the Hobby Stocks, and a 4-Cylinder Demolition Derby, presented by Blue/Gray Towing and Recovery. 

Racing begins at 7 p.m. and general admission costs $10.
