Greencastle education foundation awards scholarships to district students

GREENCASTLE, Pa. — The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation selected Greg Boyer as the 2012 recipient of the Ambassador Scholarship. 

The goal of the program is to build future leaders who are committed to service and their community. The $10,000 scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of Greencastle-Antrim School District to support emerging leaders in the community’s youth. 

Greg is an Eagle Scout of America and has active membership in nine organizations that serve the school, community and his church.  

The foundation also selected Patricia Kotrady and Sarah Gipe to receive Ambassador Book Awards of $500.

The foundation also announced the selection of Jaylene Brown of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, Pa., and Casey Zarger of Greencastle-Antrim High School as recipients of the 2012 “Get a Ride for Doing it Right” scholarship program.

Each will receive a $1,500 award toward the cost of continuing education.
