HAGERSTOWN — A Hagerstown man died Sunday after he was thrown from a BMW convertible that crashed on Crystal Falls Drive, according to a Washington County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Jeffrey Lynn Harshman, 48, was pronounced dead on arrival at Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown, Deputy Matt Sullivan said.

Harshman, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control of the car, which slid across the road and overturned, Sullivan said.

Harshman was ejected from the vehicle and was found in a driveway in the area of 9202 Crystal Falls Drive, Sullivan said.

The crash was reported at 6:36 p.m.
