Beverly Kisiel Wallace, 71, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Butler "Bud" Wallace.

Born Aug. 1, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Elsie Stover Kisiel Mills, and Alex Kisiel, who died within Beverly's first year. Beverly, along with her mother and brother, lived with her grandparents, Harvey and Mollie Stover, throughout her schooling.

She graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1958, and counted many of her classmates and their families among her closest friends throughout her life. After working in administrative positions for various companies, she met and married Bud Wallace, founder and operator of Award Beauty School in Hagerstown, on March 20, 1969. She joined her husband in the operations of the school, and assumed overall responsibility with her lifelong friends, Janet Fischer and Joyce Quinn, when her husband retired in 1985. Beverly also retired in 2002, when the school was sold.

Beverly was a member of Eastern Star for many years, as well as Business and Professional Women Organization. She was a lifetime member of the Funkstown American Legion and AMVETS. She loved her pets, especially her dog, GiGi, and she took great care of nature's birds in her backyard. She enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid golfer.

She is survived by her brother, Roger Kisiel and his wife, Sharon, and their sons, Chandler and Cameron; as well as Roger's daughters, Julie Lubin and her husband, Jason, Colleen Mohrman and her husband, Brett, and their son, Patterson, and Kendra Kisiel and her daughter, Samantha; and former sister-in-law, Lana Kisiel. She is also survived by three stepchildren and their families.

There will not be a viewing or funeral, but a celebration of life is contemplated for a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Beverly's name to Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.
