Free stop smoking program offered in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. — The Frederick County Health Department offers the "Stop Smoking for Life" program. Participants in the program will gain an understanding of the unique challenges of nicotine addiction, learn to identify tobacco triggers, develop a quit plan, learn to manage cravings, cope with stress, prevent relapse and more. Classes are 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 through June 26, or 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays, May 24, through June 28, in room 2-139 at the Frederick County Health Department, 350 Montevue Lane, Entrance D. The classes are free and free nicotine patches and gum are available for class participants with physician consent.
