Camp event for grieving children set for June

SHARPSBURG —
 Hospice of Washington County Inc. Grief and Bereavement Center is hosting Camp Hope ';n' Cope, an overnight camp for youth, Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10.

Camp Hope ‘n' Cope is designed for grieving children and adolescents who have experienced the death of a loved one, or any permanent loss in their lives. The camp provides a fun, educational and safe environment for children ages 5 to 18, to talk to one another and to learn effective, practical skills for managing their loss.

Camp activities include: age-specific group activities, swimming, hiking, games, professional story telling, music, crafts and a memorial ceremony.

Accommodations and all meals will be provided at Shepherds Springs Outdoor Ministry Center, 16869 Taylors Landing Road, Sharpsburg. Bus transportation to and from the camp from Hospice of Washington County will be provided.
