WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro police twice used a stun gun to subdue a man who allegedly struck an officer after yelling “Everyone is going to die!” in the street near 226 W. Second St.

Christopher Thomas Wertz, 18, of 13194 C Monterey Lane, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., allegedly hit an officer Saturday, police said in a news release.

He fell to the ground after first being struck by the stun gun, then got to his feet and charged at another officer, police said.

Police handcuffed Wertz after the stun gun was used on him a second time.

Wertz was charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
