A Skate-for-Life fundraiser was held April 29 at Starland Roller Rink in Hagerstown to help with donations for the American Cancer Society’s upcoming Relay for Life event.

The team Baby Ruth’s, which was named in memory of Ruth I. Rickett, hosted the event.

Starland donated a percentage of the admission back to the team.

More than 100 skaters attended the event and skated the afternoon away to hits from the disco era — the theme for this year’s Relay for Life — which will be held June 15 and 16 at Hagerstown Fairgrounds.
