George E. St. Clair, 68, of Fort Loudon, Pa., passed away peacefully on May 2, 2012, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Jan. 15, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., he was a son of Viola Hurd St. Clair Edwards of Hagerstown, Md., and the late Lester E. St. Clair.

George was employed for 22 years as production manager at Precision Manufacturing & Engineering of Greencastle.

He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club. Other memberships include Fraternal Order of Eagles, Moose Lodge and Eagles Inc., all of Waynesboro, Pa., AMVETS of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Red Men Tribe 84 of Williamsport, Md.

His wife, Sharon L. Myers St. Clair, died Oct. 10, 2007.

Surviving are his wife, Lauren L. St. Clair, whom he married Aug. 30, 2008; children, Lester E.  St. Clair and fiance, Teresa A. Shoemaker, of Chambersburg, Alice K. St. Clair of Greencastle, and Daryl L. St. Clair of Fort Loudon; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Albert Foulkes, William Cain, Kristine Gerhart, Jody Solesbee and Angela Ewoldt; sisters, Patricia Nets, Hazel Fields, Esther Lerch and Linda Roelkey; and his former wife, Mary K. Hill Bennett. George was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph; sisters, Mary and Claudette; and a grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 7, at Macedonia United Brethren Church, Greencastle, with the Revs. William Wareheim and Gayle L. Ruble Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg.
