CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Greencastle, Pa., Democrat who mounted a write-in campaign for 90th House District seat in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives appears to have been unsuccessful.
Sheldon Schwartz, 75, received approximately 170 write-in votes from Democrats in the April 24 primary election, according to results from the Franklin County (Pa.) Elections Board.
He would have needed 300 votes to appear on ballots for the Nov. 6 general election.
State Rep. Todd Rock, who was first elected in 2006, was unopposed on Republican ballots. He picked up approximately 251 write-in votes from Democrats for the seat.
The 90th House District serves the Waynesboro and Greencastle areas of Franklin County.
