BRUNSWICK, Md. — J.T. Root tossed four innings of no-hit ball to lead North Hagerstown to a 6-0 shutout of Brunswick on Wednesday in a game that had been suspended with North leading 5-0 after four-plus innings.
Root added two hits and Andrew Yacyk had a double for the Hubs.
In the regularly scheduled game, North was leading 5-1 before the game was suspended by rain.

Reath helped her own cause with a two-run homer in the first, a three-run inside-the-park home run in the fourth, two doubles and six RBIs.

Southside Bowl news
Williamsport’s Don Curry rolled a total score of 1,093 over three games of tenpins and three games of duckpins to win a tournament Sunday at Southside Bowl that was held to raise money for the family of Daniel Webb, who died recently. More than $1,000 was raised.
Williamsport’s Jim Mitchell finished second with 1,005 pins, followed by Phil Fox (994) and Ethan Moats (986).

* On April 16, while participating in the Monday Night Triples Duckpin League, Gary Thomas received $25 for bowling a 190 game, 80 pins over his 110 average.
