Learn to be a pilot without leaving the ground with Pegasus Radio Control Airplane Club's event Saturday and Sunday in Hagerstown. Pegasus Radio Control Airplane Club will host pilots from the mid-Atlantic region who will compete in a two-day event. Large-scale aerobatics airplanes fly routines similar to their full-scale counterparts. Food will be sold. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 6. Round the Maypole
Shepherdstown, W.Va., celebrates May during its May Celebration Saturday and Sunday. A traditional British-style celebration of May with costumes and dancing. Saturday's highlights include Morris dancing on King Street at 5 p.m., contra dancing with English Ceilidh band Frog Hammer at War Memorial Building and a moonlight Maypole weave. The life of abolitionist, journalist and Civil War veteran Martin Robinson Delaney will be observed Sunday at the grounds of Opportunity Learning Center in Charles Town, W.Va. The 200th birthday of Martin Robinson Delaney will be observed with an unveiling and dedication of the Martin Robinson Delany Opportunity Learning Center. Winners of the Delany Essay/Medial contest will be recognized and prizes awarded. Delany's descendants will also be present. 3 p.m. Grounds of Opportunity Learning Center, 300 S.
