HAGERSTOWN — The 17th annual Maryland Regional Aviation Conference will be held at Hagerstown Regional Airport — Richard A. Henson Field from Thursday through Saturday.
The annual Maryland Regional Festival of Flight, which is open to the public, will be held at the Hagerstown Aircraft Services building Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in conjunction with the ninth annual Washington County Museum Ramble.
On Thursday, aviation conference attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of activities. Optional tours have been planned for Antietam National Battlefield and Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. Attendees might also choose to play golf at Black Rock Golf Course or go shopping at Hagerstown Premium Outlets.
A welcome reception will be held that evening at the Hagerstown Aircraft Services Hangar, followed by a movie.
Friday’s conference agenda includes a presentation by the Federal Aviation Administration and numerous breakout sessions as well as general sessions.
A reception and dinner will take place at the Hagerstown Airport Terminal Building. The opening reception-dinner is sponsored by Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team safety seminars and the festival of flight will be presented Saturday.
Displays and exhibits will be open to conference attendees and the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hagerstown Aircraft Services building.
In the afternoon, attendees will hear a speaker from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the “Explore Maryland by Air” awards will be presented.
The Swift Fuel Enterprise Teleconference will be held following the presentation of awards.
