GREENCASTLE, Pa. — No one was injured Friday afternoon in a fire at 96 Walter Ave. in Greencastle.

J.R. Koons, deputy fire chief of the Greencastle Rescue Hose Co., said the fire call was dispatched as a camper fire around 2:30 p.m.

When Greencastle police arrived on the scene, Koons said the house also was involved in the fire.

Most of the fire damage was contained to the camper and the adjacent carport. But Koons said the living room of the ranch-style home sustained water damage and ceiling damage in the living room.

The state police fire marshal was called to determine the cause of the fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire. There were no injuries, Koons said.

Fire crews from Greencastle, Marion, Mercersburg, Maugansville, Long Meadow and Air Unit 10 responded.
