1. Piloting by remote control

Pegasus Radio Control Airplane Club will host pilots from the mid-Atlantic region who will compete in a two-day event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 5, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Pegasus Radio Control Airplane Club, Old Forge Road, Hagerstown. Large-scale aerobatic airplanes fly routines similar to their full-scale counterparts. Food will be sold. Open to the public. Free. Go to www.pegasusrc.com.


2. Playing Bluegrass in the Grass

Knob Hall Winery  hosts Bluegrass in the Grass Saturday, May 5, at the winery, 14108 St. Paul Road, Clear Spring. Performing are The Pale Barn Ghosts, noon to 1:45 p.m.; Marv Ashby and the Lefties, 2 to 3:45 p.m.; Boro Boogie Pickers, shown, 4 to 6 p.m. Tickets cost $10, in advance; $15, at the door. 5. Playing by instinct

J.D. Walter will perform improvisational jazz with Steve Rudolph, pictured, with his trio will perform at  7:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Wilson College’s Laird Hall, 1015 Phladelphia Ave., Chambersburg, Pa.
