1. Getting a littleTaste of the Arts

Taste of the Arts events includes music by Grand Point Station, paintings by Nicole Troup, pictured, children's activities and demonstrating artists. The event is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 4, in downtown Chambersburg, Pa. Call 717-261-0072.



2. Back to the big band sound

The Artie Shaw Orchestra will perform big band music from the swing era at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at The Capitol Theatre, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg, Pa. $25; $22, ages 60 and older. Call 717-263-0202 or go to www.thecapitoltheatre.org.



3.Birds and history

"Birding Through History" will be offered by Washington County Bird Club and Potomac Valley Audubon Society at 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, Antietam National Battlefield, Sharpsburg Pike, Sharpsburg. 4. Artistic expressions

5. One lump or two?

Tea will be served Sunday, May 6, in the reconstructed 1860s barn at Allison-Antrim Museum's German bank barn, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa. The event will include several choices of tea, sweet and savory treats. Seatings at 1, 2 and 3 p.m. $5. Reservations are required by Saturday, May 5. Call 717-597-9325.
