WILLIAMSPORT — Amber Forrest tossed a one-hitter and allowed just one unearned run to lead Clear Spring in a five-inning MVAL Antietam rout of Williamsport.
Forrest helped her own cause with a solo homer in the first, Heather Schlotterbeck had four hits, including two doubles, and Sarah Elwood and Courtney Royce had two hits each for the the Blazers (12-1, 10-1).
Emily Taylor had the lone hit for the Wildcats (3-9).

WASHINGTON — Leighton Younger had two goals for Saint James in a loss to Sidwell Friends.

MIDDLEBURG, Va. — Foxcroft School scored three goals in the final six minutes to pull out a victory over Saint James.
Margaret Bacon and Madison Sahuy each scored three goals and added one assist for the Saints (5-4). Lena Tilsworth and Grace Sulton had two goals each.
Kate Sweeney had nine saves in goal for Saint James.

BOONSBORO — Courtney Ridenour had five goals to lead Boonsboro past Smithsburg.
Tori Poffenberger had four goals and two assists, Claudia Jenkins had three goals, Alex Green had two goals, Emily Lum had a goal, Natalie Pitts had two assists, Natalie Young had an assist and Maeve Windsor had 11 saves for the Warriors (4-4).

Tyler Byers, a senior at Williamsport High School, has signed a letter of intent to play baseball next year at Glenville State.
Byers, an All-Washington County selection last year, is a pitcher/first baseman. Glenville State is a Division II school competing in the West Virginia Conference.
