The Washington County Recreation Department will offer a low-impact fitness class called Exercise in Boonsboro at the Fire Hall on St. Paul Street.
Certified instructor Beth Shifler teaches the class.
Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Boonsboro Fire Hall, starting May 8 and ending Aug. 9. Please bring a towel or mat for floor exercises.
The classes cost $45 for county residents and $55 for nonresidents. The classes cost $36 for county residents 55 and older and $44 for noncounty residents 55 and older.

Senior ads available for graduation program
Graduation is around the corner, and sales forms for senior salutations (sometimes called senior “ads” placed in the back of the book) were mailed April 12 to the homes of all senior and junior graduates.
Costs range from $50 for 1/8 page to $300 for a full-page ad.

Boonsboro Cub Scout Pack 20 will hold a flower sale Sunday, May 6, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Scout House in Shafer Park. Residents are encouraged to support the pack with purchases of Mother’s Day and other spring occasion flowers.
Basket bingo planned at Legion
Clopper Michael Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro will host a basket bingo Sunday, May 6. The $20 ticket includes 20 regular games. Other raffles will also be available for purchase, as well as refreshments. Doors open at 11 a.m. with the games begin at 1 p.m.
No one under 18 years of age is permitted.

Green Fest update
The final tally is in and it looks like the fourth annual Boonsboro Green Fest will host a record 135 vendors at Shafer Park on Saturday, May 12.
The free Mother’s Day weekend event is sponsored by the Boonsboro Recycling Task Force, along with more than 50 sponsoring partners.
It will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Free parking will also be available in an adjacent lot.
The daylong event also features children’s activities, entertainment, speakers, and clothing and sports equipment swaps.
The Green Fest is an official event of the Town of Boonsboro.

Class of 1977 to meet for dinner
The Boonsboro High School Class of 1977 will hold a reunion planning and dinner meeting Wednesday, May 16, at 6 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Hagerstown to plan for its 35th class reunion.
The reunion will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Elks Lodge in Hagerstown.
