Waynesboro's $1 million Powerball winner hasn't come forward

April 24, 2012

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — A winning Powerball ticket sold at Rutter’s Farm Store, 141 S. Potomac St., for the April 14 drawing has yet to be claimed, a Pennsylvania Lottery spokeswoman said Monday.

The ticket is worth $1 million, which is subject to 25 percent federal withholding.

The winning ticket correctly matched all five white balls — 14, 15, 16, 19 and 24 — but not the red Powerball 02.

The Pennsylvania Lottery encourages each holder of a winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at lottery headquarters in Middletown, Pa., or at any of the lottery’s seven area offices.

Claims may be filed at lottery headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at area offices.
